Every piece in our gallery is handcrafted by hand and entirely unique. No two pieces are ever the same. When a piece sells, it is gone permanently — though it often inspires what we make next.
Sold pieces remain visible in our gallery as portfolio and commission inspiration. Seeing a sold piece you love? Hit "Want one like this" in the gallery to start a commission inspired by it.
Preserved dioramas ship anywhere in the United States. Living terrariums are available for local pickup in Denton and the DFW area only — they cannot be safely shipped.
Damage in transit: Photograph the outer packaging and the piece immediately upon arrival if you notice any damage. Contact us within 48 hours at hello@ariaterrarium.com and we will work with you toward a resolution. We are unable to accept damage claims reported more than 48 hours after confirmed delivery.
Due to the handcrafted and one-of-a-kind nature of our work, we do not accept returns or offer refunds on completed pieces.
Every commission is a collaboration. We limit active builds to four at a time to ensure every piece gets the full attention it deserves.
Gift commissions: We’re happy to build toward a specific date for gifts and occasions. Let us know your deadline at the start of the commission process and we’ll confirm whether it’s achievable before you deposit.
Preserved Dioramas: No maintenance is required. Keep your piece out of direct sunlight to prevent fading over time. Avoid high-humidity environments such as bathrooms. The preserved botanicals, moss, and materials inside are permanent — they will not wilt, dry out, or change. Dust gently if needed with a soft, dry brush.
Living Terrariums: Care instructions are included with every living piece at the time of pickup. In general: bright indirect light, light watering every 1–2 weeks, avoid cold drafts and direct heat sources. If you have questions about your specific terrarium at any point after pickup, reach out — we’re happy to help.
When you add a piece to your cart, it is temporarily held for 15 minutes while you complete checkout. If checkout is not completed within that window, the hold is released and the piece becomes available again. This system exists to prevent two customers from purchasing the same one-of-a-kind piece simultaneously.
Workshop registration and payment is handled through our booking system. Spots are limited and held on a first-come, first-served basis. Workshop fees are non-refundable within 48 hours of the session. If you are unable to attend, contact us in advance and we will try to accommodate a transfer or reschedule.
We collect your name, email, and order details to process purchases and commissions. Commission inquiries submitted through our wizard are stored securely in our system and used only to respond to your request.
If you subscribe to our mailing list, your email is stored privately and used only to notify you of new pieces and events from Aria Terrarium.
