It started with
a terrarium.
Siriya grew up surrounded by lush tropical gardens, and growing things has been part of her life for as long as she can remember. When she was seven months pregnant with their youngest child — deep in Texas summer, deep in COVID lockdowns — working outside wasn't an option. So Josh suggested reviving an older hobby: building terrariums.
That small decision changed everything. She built one terrarium, then another, then the house was full of them. When their jobs issued a return-to-office notice and the economics of daycare made returning to work impossible, Siriya left her job and stayed home with their newborn.
They had a new baby, a lost income stream, and a house full of plants. Several of their friends were already vendors at craft markets. The question became: why not?
Aria Terrarium launched at small weekend markets, selling living terrariums. Over time, the work evolved. Preserved botanicals came first, then themed dioramas, then commissions, then conventions. Each evolution followed naturally from the last — driven not by a business plan, but by what Siriya kept being drawn to build.
That's still how it works today.
